My mom tells me to get my dad a bottle of scotch for Father's Day, I asked her what sort of scotch and she told me some bird name, and I couldn't remember whether she said Wild Turkey or Famous Grouse. I went to the liquor store and apparently Wild Turkey is bourbon, not scotch, so hopefully Famous Grouse is what I was supposed to buy, because I bought it. Happy Father's Day! |

'Where is my son now?': Mother of Dziekanski confronts officer at inquiry
The RCMP are really being vindicated by the inquiry:
“Just because I was mistaken doesn’t mean I was lying,” said Robinson
Robinson, 38, has 11 years of experience with the RCMP but is currently suspended with pay after an alleged drunk-driving accident in 2008 that killed 21-year-old motorcyclist Orion Hutchinson.
Possibly facing charges of impaired driving causing death, Robinson lost his bid last week to have the B.C. Supreme Court return his driver’s licence, arguing that he only blew over the limit because he had two shots of vodka at home after leaving the scene of the accident.

this $100 laptop mentioned on slashdot is kinda crazy. mips processor and wifi? i hope it's available soon.
i've been to the first classes for 2/4 of my courses so far. my computer organization class has 105 students in it! peter graham is the prof and even he expressed surprise that there were 105 people when he looked it up to print out copies of the ROASS. |
